Case Study:
Engagement to offer in less than 3 weeks

The Client

The Timmins family has been successfully designing and constructing agricultural and industrial buildings since 1975. Their values are the same today as they were over 35 years ago – commitment to providing the best steel frame buildings, crop drying and conditioning solutions.

The Problem

The company has recently relocated to new premises at Caenby Corner and needed to recruit a fabricator/welder to the team. Timmins Agriculture haven’t used recruitment agencies in the past and weren’t sure what to expect from the process. David and Katy visited the site and presented our service via our online demonstration. We like to visit client premises to get to know the client and get a real feel for the environment the candidate will be working in. Our demonstration illustrates our candidate attraction methods and explains how the free Applicant Tracking System works. All applications are uploaded onto a client dashboard which makes tracking and managing applicants an easy process. The company instructed Root2 to commence a ‘Classic’ package costing £995 for an end to end recruitment service.

The Solution

Once the instruction was received we compiled a compelling job advert and advertised the vacancy over all the major job boards and social media platforms. We also searched our database and invited suitable candidates to apply for the position. Within 3 days the client had 4 shortlisted candidates in their dashboard and over the next fortnight received a total of 73 applicants for this vacancy. 24 of these candidates were deemed as suitable and the final shortlist was eventually scaled down to the 4 strongest candidates who were invited for an interview. In less than 3 weeks all the interviews had been arranged and conducted and an offer made. One of the benefits of working with Root2 is that if more than one suitable candidate comes through the process then the client can take as many candidates as they wish without incurring and extra fee.


The client was delighted with the ease of the whole process and has since recommended Root2 Recruit to some of their contacts.
