We are seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join the small maintenance team of our high-volume, modern CO2 Dry Ice manufacturing and packaging facility. The main responsibility of the Maintenance Electrician will be to carry out planned maintenance and troubleshoot equipment faults as necessary, ensuring safe and reliable operation of the plant.  We are seeking a Maintenance Electrician who is a good team player with the ability to work independently when necessary.  In addition, you will have a positive attitude towards health and safety and safe systems of work.

Key responsibilities for Maintenance Electrician:

  • Maintain CO2 Dry Ice production & packaging facilities, checking, testing and electrical maintenance of plant machinery and components, and replacement of defective parts.
  • Planning, recording, and reporting on work carried out.
  • Working in accordance with Health, Safety & Quality Policy, safety principles and health and safety legislation.
  • Assisting with continuous improvement of plant maintenance and development of plant maintenance procedures.
  • Spare part sourcing and management.

Qualifications & Experience Maintenance Electrician:

  • Educated to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical maintenance)
  • Plant maintenance of; control systems, control panels, inverter drives and soft start systems, HMI, PLC, ethernet communication, proximity sensors, small / medium power distribution systems.
  • Effective investigation and resolution of faults.
  • CMMS (computer maintenance management systems) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Reading technical drawings and schematics.
  • HV distribution and switching experience would be advantageous but not essential.

Essential Requirements: 

  • Fully Qualified – City & Guilds / NVQ trained or time served or qualified by experience
  • Ability to read technical fabrication drawings
  • Proven experience in fabricating
  • Proficient in the use of fabrication equipment such as press brakes, drills, welding plant etc
  • Good use of initiative
  • Great teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently unsupervised

  • Understanding of control systems & PLC’s

This is a varied role covering all aspects of product testing, value engineering, product design and evaluation of new or existing products. This Developer will specialise in the Network solutions part of the business and will be working predominantly on duct, access chambers, covers and other Network Solutions products.

The role of Product Development Engineer will be based within the research and development department at Loughborough and will involve working closely with all other departments within the business.  The ideal Product Development Engineer will have a minimum of one year’s project experience within a product development and testing environment with experience of composite materials (Specifically SMC & DMC) and will have a passion for continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities Product Development Engineer:

  • To undertake development, testing and design projects in line with NPD objectives
  • Carry out CAD drawings to a high quality and standards
  • To critically and accurately undertake product testing and evaluation, generating high quality test reports
  • To understand and work to project briefs with the ability to develop/work to a project plan by liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with the quality and standards department with regards to product certification and testing

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering or similar
