Key responsibilities HR Manager/ Head of People and Talent:

  • Leading and managing the People & Talent team, with an emphasis on talent acquisition, specialist recruitment and operational tasks for all stages of the employee lifecycle, demonstrating the importance and strategic impact that this team brings as a proactive and visible support network.
  • Building key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, defining requirements to attract talent, proactively putting people first and promoting the organisation as an employer of choice.
  • Developing and implementing resourcing, talent acquisition and retention strategies to attract and retain top talent.
  • Sourcing and embedding proficient processes and systems including a fit for purpose HR Information System (HRIS) and Applicant Tracking System (ATS), automating transactional activities, streamlining standard processes and improving employee engagement.

Personal specification Head of People and Talent:

  • Level 2/GCSE English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Degree and/or professional qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Qualified to CIPD Level 5 and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development.
  • Qualified and accredited in a range of psychometric tools would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of current Employment Law, upcoming changes and case law.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of developing and implementing relevant strategies, policies, processes and procedures.
  • Understanding of recruiting in the education sector, including regulatory requirements and workforce challenges. Understanding of funding allocation within the education sector would be an advantage. Understanding of safeguarding, particularly within the educational sector.

We are seeking a dynamic HR Advisor (medium level) to join our friendly, established team and contribute to the continued growth of this amazing business, the leading provider of crop nutrition solutions worldwide. Join us in shaping the future of agriculture and making a meaningful impact on Europe’s agricultural sustainability journey as part of our HR team.

The nature of this role requires a forward thinking and pro-active Human Resources individual, who can work autonomously and who is passionate about Learning & Development to drive the L&D agenda for our European business.   The company prides itself on employee retention, encouraging on-going training.


Key responsibilities HR Advisor:


Assist in the design and implementation of competency mapping tools tailored to specific needs of each business area

  • Analyse offerings and identify gaps between training requirements and existing offerings, and prepare proposals for new structured learning content
  • Manage performance and employee engagement processes
  • Collaborate on the design, development, and deployment of training materials for employee processes
  • Actively promote diversity, equity, and inclusion throughout all activities 
  • Support employees and managers with enquiries relating to performance and development, promoting empowerment in the use of systems and tools for optimisation
  • Support the digitalization and centralization of learning data 

Personal specification HR Advisor:

  • Degree level qualification
  • CIPD qualified in Learning & Development 
  • Min 3 years’ experience in an L&D role 
  • Good understanding of performance and development processes, talent and learning management
  • Good knowledge of GDPR and HR compliance
  • Competent with Microsoft Office packages 
  • Good communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with SAP Success Factors is beneficial, but not essential 
  • A self-starter capable of working on own initiative
