Are you an experienced Fabricator looking for a new opportunity with a well-established company.

Do you have experience working with architectural or structural steelwork or maybe you’d like to expand your skills to gain experience with this? 

Due to increased workload our client is eager to strengthen their team of fabricator/welders. You will join an already established team in a long-standing company based in central Lincoln. 

Essential Requirements: 

  • Fully Qualified – City & Guilds / NVQ trained or time served or qualified by experience
  • Ability to read technical fabrication drawings
  • Proven experience in fabricating
  • Proficient in the use of fabrication equipment such as press brakes, drills, welding plant etc
  • Good use of initiative
  • Great teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently unsupervised

The role is based from our clients head office in Lincoln, Lincolnshire which is commutable for those living in the following areas: Lincoln, Waddington, Saxilby, Wragby, Woodall Spa, Alford, Newark, Gainsborough, Caistor, Horncastle, Coningsby, Sleaford, Market Rasen, Louth, and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities Machine Operator/Engineer:

  • Work with the team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Personal Specification Machine Operator/Semi-skilled Engineer:

  • Proven experience as a machine operator or semi-skilled engineer in the print industry.
  • Knowledge of folding and gluing carton board and corrugated machinery is a distinct advantage such as Bobst, together with the ability to operate and repair machinery.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours if needed.
  • Current driving licence.

  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of control systems & PLC’s
  • Comfortable working days and nights

This is a varied role covering all aspects of product testing, value engineering, product design and evaluation of new or existing products. This Developer will specialise in the Network solutions part of the business and will be working predominantly on duct, access chambers, covers and other Network Solutions products.

The role of Product Development Engineer will be based within the research and development department at Loughborough and will involve working closely with all other departments within the business.  The ideal Product Development Engineer will have a minimum of one year’s project experience within a product development and testing environment with experience of composite materials (Specifically SMC & DMC) and will have a passion for continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities Product Development Engineer:

  • To undertake development, testing and design projects in line with NPD objectives
  • Carry out CAD drawings to a high quality and standards
  • To critically and accurately undertake product testing and evaluation, generating high quality test reports
  • To understand and work to project briefs with the ability to develop/work to a project plan by liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with the quality and standards department with regards to product certification and testing
  • Maintain appropriate records at all stages of the product development project
  • Comply with the departments ISO 9001:2008 procedures
  • Proven ability to undertake design projects

Personal specification Development Engineer:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering or similar
  • Good IT skills
  • Experience with CAD design packages (Solidworks or similar)
  • Experience in process planning
  • Able to prioritise workloads and multi-task
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
