Personal Specification Machine Operator/Semi-skilled Engineer:

  • Proven experience as a machine operator or semi-skilled engineer in the print industry.
  • Knowledge of folding and gluing carton board and corrugated machinery is a distinct advantage such as Bobst, together with the ability to operate and repair machinery.
  • Welding knowledge an advantage.
  • Bearing & belt experience an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours if needed.
  • Current driving licence.

Key Responsibilities Machine Operator/Engineer:

  • Disassemble, refurbish, rebuild and move print equipment.
  • Set up, operate and maintain folding and gluing carton board machinery and corrugated machinery.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Work with the team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Are you a highly skilled and experienced Digital Print Technician looking for a great career opportunity, perhaps within a different industry? You may be an experienced Ink Jet Print Operator looking for a change of career.

The ideal Digital Print Technician will have deep expertise in digital print systems, inkjet technology, colour processing, and technical servicing of digital printers. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the continued optimal performance of a range of digital printing systems from narrow to large and wide-format, and across different substrates and applications including direct-to-textile, paper transfer, film transfer and UV inks.

Key responsibilities Digital Print Technician:

•    Maintain, troubleshoot, and service high-performance digital print equipment ensuring optimal results are delivered

•    Possess in-depth knowledge of digital colour processing, colour calibration and profiling. Ensure accurate colour reproduction across all print applications including textiles, paper and UV prints

•    Troubleshoot and repair various ink technologies, including pigment inks, UV inks and wet ink conditions

•    Conduct routine servicing and calibration on digital print systems, including large-format, narrow-format and wide inkjet printers

•    Work closely with clients to understand their unique needs and challenges, offering technical advice and on-site servicing as required

•    Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies and industry advancements related to digital printing, inks and colour processing

Personal specification Digital Print Technician:

•    Extensive experience as a Digital Print Technician, or similar role, with a strong background in the technical servicing of digital print systems

•    Excellent understanding of digital colour processing, colour theory and colour management techniques in a printing environment

•    Experience with a wide variety of ink systems, including pigment inks, UK inks, direct-to-print textile, paper and film transfer applications

•    Comprehensive understanding of wet ink conditions and how they interact with different substates and printing processes

•    Strong technical and mechanical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex print systems

•    Previous experience with embroidery, DTF and UV printing systems is a plus

•    Willingness to travel across the UK as required for on-site support and servicing

•    Clean driving licence
