Our prestigious client, with over 175 years trading experience and a nationwide network of branches, is seeking to strengthen their operation with the addition of an experienced Plumbing & Heating Manager.  The branch network supplies timber and building materials to all parts of the construction industry, both private and commercial, and have dedicated manufacturing divisions supplying specialist windows, doors and timber engineering services. Your role as Plumbing & Heating Manager will contribute to the groups focus on providing market leading choice, quality, service and value. If you have a good knowledge of P & H products and excellent communication skills then this could be the role for you.

Key Responsibilities – Plumbing and Heating Manager:

  • Lead an effective Plumbing and Heating department
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of P&H products, communication skills and self-discipline
  • Create profitable sales growth
  • Manage specific customer pricing terms
  • Maintain working relationship with customers and suppliers
  • Efficiently manage all aspects of P&H stock and stock counts
  • Merchandising P&H shop floor area
  • Invoicing and processing all sales accurately
  • Training and developing P&H assistant for effective customer service
  • Any other duties deemed reasonable within the scope of the job role

Plumbing and Heating Manager – Personal Specification:

  • Good market knowledge of plumbing & heating products
  • A thorough understanding of all Company products and services
  • Successful sales record within the industry
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid UK Driving Licence
  • Well presented at all times

You may currently be working in a Builders merchants, Plumbers’ merchants or as a Trade Counter Manager with a vast knowledge of heating and plumbing and bathroom supplies.
