We are seeking a Maintenance and Project Engineer to join the team of one of the largest industrial gas producing organizations in the world. As a qualified Technical Engineer, ideally with experience in industrial gases, your role will be to co-ordinate and control maintenance activities at production sites and storage terminals throughout the UK, with occasional travel to Ireland.  With a passion for customer service you will be a self-motivated professional who enjoys a challenging role with extensive travel.  This is a newly created role for an experienced Technical Engineer to join a hardworking and very supportive friendly team.

Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Project Engineer:

  • Co-ordination and control of company’s dry ice production and storage terminal maintenance program
  • Provide Technical assistance with maintenance activities on customer installations
  • Liaison and instruction of company and sub-contract maintenance resource.
  • Assist in the development and control of maintenance and inspection procedures in line with PSSR and incorporating approved RBI techniques.
  • Liaison with relevant third party authorities.
  • Provide assistance with installation projects, ensuring that cost, delivery, installation and commissioning are all achieved within budget, agreed timelines and comply with UK legislation
  • Assist the Technical team with evaluation of customer requirements and help provide technical solutions, including scope & documentation detailing proposals/solutions.
  • Provide technical support to internal departments, third party suppliers and our customer base, including all required documentation.
  • Work in accordance with Company Health, Safety & Quality Policy, safety principles and relevant health and safety legislation

Person Specification Maintenance & Project Engineer:

  • Qualified to degree level in an engineering discipline and or HND/HNC or equivalent qualifications with experience in the industrial gas, engineering process and production industry
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of safe systems of work with sound engineering practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current UK and European engineering and pressure systems standards and Health & Safety legislation
  • Computer literate with experience of maintenance systems and Microsoft Office experience.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Good customer service skills
  • Valid driving licence
